NSINGIZINI LEAVES FOR DURBAN, SWALLOWS SAFE IN PRETORIA FOR CAF GAMES

MBABANE – Nsingizini Hotspurs departed on Thursday morning for Durban, South Africa where they are to play Stellenbosch FC in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The first leg of the preliminary round will be played on Saturday at Moses Mabhida Stadium with the second leg a week later at the same venue (still to be confirmed). The team left through the Lavumisa Border Gate in the morning.

The Shiselweni based side will be debuting in the tournament and they had a good pre-season training as they were based in Durban in preparations of the game.

Nsingizini Hotspurs supporters are expected to follow the team on Friday afternoon as about 200 fans are expected to travel to support the club. Fans are paying E550 for transport return while its E50 entrance fee.

Meanwhile, Mbabane Swallows who left the country on Wednesday for their Friday evening match arrived safely in Pretoria, South Africa. The team will be playing against Mozambique’s Club Ferroviario at the Lucas Moripe Stadium Pretoria, kick-off 7pm.

Mbabane Swallows left the Ngwenya Border Posts. They are also expected to be followed by the supports on Friday morning who were paying E400 return transport fee excluding the entry fee of E50.

The two sides travelled to play their home games away from home, South Africa due to the Confederations of African Football (CAF) ban of local stadium as they are not befitting their standards.
