LUBULINI – The newly constructed Ndzevane factory shell is now 98% complete and set to be handed over to the investor in February 2025, marking a significant milestone for the Lubulini community and Eswatini’s industrial growth.

During a progress check today, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo, and Minister of Economic Planning and Development Dr. Thambo Gina, who doubles as Lubulini Member of Parliament, praised the project’s execution. He highlighted its potential to transform the local economy. Once fully operational, the facility is expected to create 1,000 jobs, providing a much-needed boost to employment in the area.

Minister Khumalo revealed that training for future employees has already commenced, ensuring that the local workforce is prepared to take on roles within the factory once operations begin.

“This project is a game-changer for the Lubulini community and Eswatini. It signifies the government’s commitment to fostering industrial growth, creating jobs, and empowering local communities,” said Minister Khumalo.

Constructed by Stefanutti Stocks and managed by Microprojects, the factory shell has been completed on time and within budget, a rare achievement that underscores the efficiency and expertise of the teams involved.

“The successful delivery of this project demonstrates what can be achieved when there is effective planning, execution, and collaboration between government and private stakeholders,” added Dr. Gina.

The factory shell is poised to become a cornerstone of economic development in Lubulini, attracting investment and spurring industrial activity. By providing job opportunities and facilitating skills development, the project will contribute to reducing unemployment and improving livelihoods in the region.

The progress check reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to create an enabling environment for industrial investment and growth, ensuring sustainable economic progress for the Kingdom of Eswatini.

With the factory shell nearing completion, anticipation is building for the transformative impact it will bring to Lubulini and beyond.
