ESWATINI TV FIRST EPL LIVE GAME IS ARSENAL VS WOLVES ON SATURDAY

MBABANE – Arsenal vs Wolves is the first game that will be broadcast live on Eswatini TV.

The English Premiership makes its return to Eswatini TV, since it was live broadcast live in the 2015/ 16 season that was surprisingly won by Leicester City.

The return of the EPL games was launched on Friday at Royal Villas in Ezulwini.

Present during the launch was the Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Bongani Nzima, British Interim of Mission Elliot Haynes and Eswatini TV Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mlamuli Dlamini among others.

The game between Arsenal and Wolves will start at 4pm with the live broadcast starting an hour later. The EPL first match will be played on Friday (August 16, 2024) between Manchester United and Fulham while early kick-off on Saturday will see Liverpool visiting promoted side Ipswich.

Eswatini TV CEO Mlamuli Dlamini said they wanted to broadcast live one game for the EPL on Saturdays then one match from the MTN Premier League on Sundays.

British Head of Mission, Elliot Haynes said he was delighted to host a reception to launch the upcoming EPL season in partnership with Eswatini TV that would be broadcasting some of the matches live.

He said this was a huge moment for fans in as the Premier League offers unique drama, excitement and popularity.
