MBABANE – Inyatsi Construction has distanced itself from the damaged road at KaMjuda T-Junction (MR 11).
This road bridge, which is in Nhlangano (KaMjuda), has been damaged by the heavy rains, which are currently falling over Eswatini. Pictures of the damaged infrastructure also show board bearing a brand mark of Inyatsi Construction, just a few metres from the damaged road.
The board has convinced social media users to believe that Inyatsi Construction was the one that has built the road, which was damaged, judging from their comments. However, the construction company has clarified that it is not the one responsible for the damaged road, as it was not the one that constructed it.
In a statement, Inyatsi Construction has stated that the specific section of the road/bridge in question was not constructed by the company. According to Inyatsi, the most recent project belonging to them in that vicinity was concluded about 200 metres away from the damaged road/bridge. “The damaged structure is part of an older road, built by other parties, and is not part of our work,” said part of the statement.
The construction company continued to state that it prides itself in delivering durable, high quality infrastructure. The company promised to continue to deliver high quality infrastructure that would stand the test of time. The company further urged the members of the public to verify their facts before making conclusion. The management of the company also stated that their doors were always open for people who wanted to approach them to get the necessary facts on this matter, or any other matter that could pertain to the company.
The most recent project delivered by Inyatsi Construction is the Nhlangano-Sicunusa Road, which was officially opened by His Majesty King Mswati III, at an event held in Gege in October last year. The road was constructed for an amount of E647 million, with a distance of 42.5 kilometres.
