MBABANE – The Ministry of Agriculture is expected to host its free piggery training for beginners.
This two days training would be held at Manzini library.
Speaking to this publication, National Pig Industry Coordinator Colane Ndlangamandla said the training dates would be August 6 to 7, 2024. Ndlangamandla advised those interested to register on time so that they could secure space. He said spaces would be limited, as it could not accommodate more than 120 people.
“As the Agriculture Ministry, we are mandated to share and disseminate knowledge about caring for pigs. We usually host these training sessions each and every month, according to the demand. In this case, Manzini farmers have requested this training so we aim to share this knowledge with them,” he said.
Ndlangamandla further said that as the Government they worked with different partners, which were part of the agriculture industry that aimed to give back to the Eswatini. On this training, they would be working with Feedmaster, who would be directly educating the farmers about the types and amount of food which were needed by their livestock from birth to market and many other information needed as they would be trained personnel.
The speakers of this training are Piggery Extention Officer Nhlakanipho Dlamini, Piggery Extension Nokwanda Dlamini, Feedmaster Technical Advisor Mncedisi Simelane, Regional Piggery Officer Nhlakanipho Dlamini and FINCLUDE’s Lungelo Dlamini.
This training has no age restrictions, it is open to everyone who is willing have knowledge about the pig industry.
