MBABANE – His Majesty King Mswati III advises those participating in all ongoing wars in the world to turn to God, as he is the only one with the power to stop the conflicts.

The king said this today (Monday, October 28, 2024) during the Year-End Prayer Service 2024 which took place at Mandvulo Grand Hall in Lozitha Palace. The service was held to thank God for having kept his people alive in the country and the whole world. The service also served as an opportunity for the people to ask God to intervene in all sorts of challenges that all humanity could face.

Preaching during the event, His Majesty the King stated that God is the only person who had a better understanding of everything that happened in the world.

Therefore, he was the only one who could bring solutions to the problems facing humanity. The king reminded all those who listened to his sermon that God was in charge of everything in this world, including the people who participated in the wars. Therefore, it was important for them to seek solutions from him to end their conflicts.

The king said the world was engulfed with wars in many continents of the world. He singled out Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, stating that natives of these continents were in conflicts, which resulted in untold destruction of civilian lives and properties.

The king did not mention any country when talking about these wars. However, it has been widely reported in the international media outlets about certain ongoing wars that many people talk about. They include Israel and different political groups in the Middle East, including Hamas of Palestine and Hezbollar of Lebanon. In Europe, the most talked-about conflict is the one between Russia and Ukraine, which has dragged for more than two years now.

In Africa, countries such as Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic (CAR), Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ethiopia, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, and South Sudan, among others are embroiled in conflicts. In many of this countries, there are certain resistance groups fighting against the Government of the day or fighting against one another.

The king further talked about other calamities such as hunger and other natural disasters, stating that God was the only one who had the power of effectively intervening in them. According to the king, it would be wise for Emaswati to draw closer to God because he knew about each one of them. He knew what they needed and what their aspirations were.

His Majesty also thanked the attendants for taking their time for making it to Mandvulo Grand Hall, as the building was packed to the rafters, regardless of the fact that it was a Monday. The king understood that people had a tendency of packing such halls on weekends, not during the week, as many people were at work.

He also thanked King Mabhudu Tembe of the Tembe nation, as well as Nxamalala King who took their time to be part of the event. Before the king preached, Her Majesty the Indlovukazi also took time to preach. She warned against supporting false prophets, as this was against the will of God.

Her Majesty also warned against not taking instructions from God, making an example of the Biblical Jonah, who was sent to Nineveh, but decided not to go there. She said Jonah was punished because of that, as he was swallowed by a fish in the sea until he heeded to God’s instructions.

Prim Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini, who spoke after Her Majesty the Indlovukazi, and before His Majesty the King, thanked the Indlovukazi for warning against following false prophets, as this could be dangerous for the spiritual wellbeing of Emaswati. The premier further thanked Their Majesties for taking their time to praise God with the nation as this could not be done in many parts of the world.
