SPORTS COUNCIL CAPACITATE 5 NEW ASSOCIATION’S PRESIDENTS

MBABANE – The Eswatini Sport Recreation Council (ESRC) made sure that five of the new association’s presidents are aligned with their operations as they start to executive their duties.

They did this through orientation that was led by ESRC Business Development Manager Zama Tsabedze over the weekend. The new association presidents include those coming from the Eswatini Cricket Association, Eswatini Shooting Association, Eswatini Swimming Association, Eswatini Equestrian Federation and Indigenous Games Association.

All this associations are ESRC affiliates.

“Five national sports association’s executive committees have been oriented on the operations of the Eswatini Sports and Recreation Council. These are the newly elected executive committees of the respective associations,” reads a statement from ESRC.

ESRC is the sports mother body in the country under the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs. All the association’s executive that were oriented are affiliated with the sports mother body and they recently held their elections were they elected a new executive committee that will lead the associations in the next four or five years.

ESRC usually invites sports associations to be part of their Shukuma Program that is hosted around the country’s Tinkhundla Centers. This is where the associations get the chance of introducing and giving lessons to the public on that particular sport.
