TEAM SWAZI TO TAKE ON TEAM KZN FOR SPIN SHUTDOWN

MANZINI – Spin car fanatics are in for a treat next month.

Eswatini will take on South African KwaZulu Natal (KZN) spinners at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre on 14 December 2024.

This was confirmed by Zulu D, one of the event organisers.

Dubbed Eswatini versus KwaZulu Natal, the event will feature special performances by South African artists, namely Gatsheni, Khuzani, Mthandeni, Jumbo, and the Qwabe Twins.

The show will be supported by local DJs, namely Zulu D, MBO, Lady Zee, Obsession, Sweet Shandis, Maphi, Sleek, Sbu De Drum DJ, AyaCity, Mbekezeli, and DJ Bin. Nqaba will be the MC.

Team Eswatini will feature; Team Swazi, Team Brema, Masina Brothers, Nkosikhona, Lihle, Jigzo, Xoli, Dolly 007, Dara, Ngwe, Exhaust Boys, Team Salimi, Team LRC, Ghetto Ruff, Geshos, Shaka, Twins, Revolution Crew, Mikido, Zweli, Mavela, Mfana, Webhova, Msimisi, and Team Bucket.

Team KZN will feature Preshu, Nevs, Sahil, Sadhil, Remone, Dean, Warren, Charl, Zet, and Jerard.

About Gatsheni

Born Mlungisi Khuzani Ndlovu (34) in KZN Pongola, he is a South African singer known professionally as Gatsheni. He began his career in 2012 at the age of 22. His studio album Inhlupheko in 2021 became a commercial success and went platinum.

About Khuzani

Born in Khuzani Nkosikhona Mpungose (34) is a Maskandi singer from KwaZulu Natal, Nkandla. He rose to prominence after participating in Mgqumeni’s iSecret album in 2010.

About Mthandeni

Born Mthandeni Sibusio Manqele (36) is an Maskandi singer from KZN. He is also known as the King of Maskandi and is referred to in the industry as Igcokama eli. He is a singer and songwriter; he is famous for his song titled ‘Paris featuring Lwa Ndlukulu released  August 2023.

About Jumbo

Born Sibongukwanda Nyangiwe is an award-winning gospel singer from Umzimkhulu in KZN. He started singing in school, where he won several music competitions with a choir he led. He won Song of the Year at the Crown Gospel Music Awards three times. He has recorded a studio album titled Siyaya.

About the Qwabe Twins

A South African Afro-pop duo formed in KZN consists of identical twins Virginia and Viggy Qwabe. They were contestants on Season 15 of the Idols South Africa. They are signed to Universal Afrotainment Records; they released their debut studio album, titled Gift of Love, in 2020.
