MBABANE – At least 10 000 of emaSwati have benefited from the Taiwan Medical Mission outreach services this year.
The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the Kingdom of Eswatini together with the Taiwan Medical Mission team are continuing with changing lives in the rural areas as their free medical services has produced an impressive number of beneficiaries within a year.
This is according to a statement shared by the Taiwan Embassy following a record-breaking outreach in Ludzeludze where they assisted 817 beneficiaries.
Taiwan Embassy and Taiwan Medical Mission organized an unprecedented outreach event in Ludzeludze, where they offered free consultations, medication, health education, and vegetarian diet promotion. Led by Minister Ching-Lin TSUEI, the medical team delivered free medical services and medication to the 817 residents.
“This outreach benefited 817 local residents, truly showcasing Taiwan’s warm strength. Even more exciting, the 10,000th beneficiary of the year was served during this event,” the Embassy’s Chia Feng confirmed.
He said their medical personnel did not only provide professional medical services but also conducted health education with care, helping everyone understand the importance of health.
“A big thank you to all the medical staff and volunteers who participated and supported this event. Your efforts make the world a better place,” he continued.
In addition, Chia Feng said reaching 10 000 of emaSwati beneficiaries in one year was a great milestone for them and assured the public that they were committed to assisting more communities across.
Moreover, he added that this year alone, the Taiwan team had conducted free health outreach services in 18 Tinkhundla across the country and has altogether served more than 10,000 patients, with the 10,000th patient showing up at Zombodze High School.
“Taiwan Embassy would like to express our gratitude to MP Nomkhosi Masuku, Indvuna, Bucopho and the people in the Ludzeludze constituency for receiving us wholeheartedly and together making the event a great success,” concluded Chia Feng.
Some of the communities that have already benefitted from the free health outreach services include Sandleni, Madlangampisi, Maphalaleni, Lulakeni, LaMgabhi and Maseyisini.
