The much-anticipated Kuguga Othandayo 60s Vintage Party returns for its fifth edition on 30 August 2025, and will once again be held at Sibane Sami Hotel. The highlight this year is the best dressed will walk away with a weekend trip to Mozambique.
This was confirmed by event founder Illa Penboy, born Sifiso Ndlangamandla, who made the announcement on the event’s official Facebook page just two days ago. The vintage celebration is scheduled to begin at 12 noon and continue until the following morning. According to Illa Penboy more details will be revealed soon.
Illa shared with this publication that they will be prize for the Best dressed. “Bring your best outfit to Kuguga Othandayo Vintage party and stand a chance to win a weekend in Mozambique, Maputo. The top will also be awarded.

Last year’s event, held at the same venue on 3 August 2024, introduced exciting new elements such as a vintage car parade featuring classic cars from North West, South Africa. This year promises even more flair with additions like a fashion show and traditional food tastings.
The Kuguga Othandayo event has become one of Eswatini’s most beloved festivals, gaining popularity both offline and across social media platforms. Uniquely, fans last year were given the chance to vote for the Best Dressed Male and Best Dressed Female at the fourth edition which was held at the same venue on the 3 August 2024, reinforcing the event’s community-driven nature.

The Kuguga Othandayo 60s Vintage Party brand has grown across our shores, as it was hosted in Mozambique last year September. The vintage party was hosted in Matola at the La Vida Resort Bar and Lounge on September 28, 2024.
