MBABANE – Mandvulo Grand Hall will be the venue for the highly anticipated 2025 Opening Prayer Service, scheduled for this Saturday, January 25.

As previously reported by this publication, the Ministry of Home Affairs has officially confirmed the event’s date.

Mlandvo Dlamini, Communications Officer for the ministry, stated, “The service will be held at Mandvulo Grand Hall this coming Saturday.”

Last year’s service took place on February 3, during which His Majesty the King Mswati III emphasized the importance of dedicating time to honour God for His daily miracles. The King urged the nation to align their actions with God’s will and to avoid anything contrary to His teachings.

His Majesty encouraged congregants to let the service inspire positive change in their lives, saying, “It is easy to see if one is living a holy life after receiving God as their Saviour.” He expressed confidence in his divine guidance, noting, “God would not have given me a stone when I asked for bread.”

The King’s sermon also highlighted gratitude and trust in God’s miraculous works. “We are grateful for the miracles He has granted us, and we must thank Him for that,” he preached. He urged the nation to remain steadfast in faith and prayer, adding, “If we abandon God, we bring misfortune upon ourselves. Let us always worship and rely on His strength.”

This year’s service precedes the official opening of the first session of the 13th Parliament, which is scheduled for January 31.
