400 RUNNERS REGISTERED FOR #RESOLUTIONRUN, 300 SPOTS REMAIN

MBABANE – With 400 runners already signed up for this year’s #ResolutionRun, 300 spots remain open for the event, which is capped at 700 participants.

The highly anticipated annual race will take place on February 22, 2025, at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary. Sponsored by Lactalis (Parmalat) Eswatini, the event boasts a generous sponsorship package worth E90 000—E60,000 in cash prizes and E30,000 in product contributions.

This year’s #ResolutionRun features three race categories: a 21km race starting at 5:30 a.m., a 10km race beginning at 6:00 a.m., and a 5km race at 6:10 a.m. Entry fees are E250 for the 21km, E170 for the 10km, and E130 for the 5km race.

The #ResolutionRun, first launched in 2016 at Mlilwane Game Sanctuary, is a family-oriented event promoting healthy living and sustainable use of conservation areas. The race encourages individuals and groups to kick-start their New Year’s resolutions engagingly and actively.

Details about the event were shared during a press conference held at 23:38 Lounge, Checkers Business Centre in Mbabane. A statement issued during the event confirmed, “Over 400 runners have registered for #ResolutionRun25, with the cap set at 700 participants. Registration closes on February 10, 2025, so don’t miss out!”

For added convenience, runners can register with cash or card payments at Mlilwane Game Sanctuary’s Sangweni Gate on the following dates:

  • February 20, 2025: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • February 21, 2025: 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • February 22, 2025 (Race Day): 4:30 a.m. – 6:00 a.m.

Lactalis Eswatini has reaffirmed its commitment to the event, providing runners with Sterie Stumpie and Emvelo Mahewu to boost their energy throughout the race. Additionally, the event continues to support local community efforts and conservation initiatives.
