MBABANE – Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) officers have been urged to continue their noble service with love and dedication.
This was said by Reverend Hertform Xaba from Christ Cares Kingdom Ambassadors during the REPS thanks giving prayer for the successful celebration of the Police Day 2024. The prayer service happened yesterday (Wednesday, July 18, 2024) at Matsapha Police Academy.
Police National Commissioner (NatCom) Vusi Manoma Masango expressed his appreciation towards the prayers REPS received, leading up to the Police Day celebration.
Masango appreciated prayer contributions from the clergy fraternity, in particular the Police Chaplaincy Unit, Pastor Shodi Msibi, Pastor Madudu Mabuza, and Reverend Nhlanhla Hlatshwayo – who dedicated prayer services ahead of the Police Day.
Masango recognised the legacy left by Acting Commissioner, Lydia Dlamini who saw it fit that there should be prayer services leading up to the PoliceDay celebrations.
“We thank God for the strength and wisdom that guided us through challenges while preparing for Police Day” he said.
Masango further made a commitment to continue this tradition, announcing plans to extend these prayer services to regions and working in collaboration with regional churches.
Reverend Hertform Xaba from Christ Cares Kingdom Ambassadors took to the podium, giving a sermon and enriching the spiritual atmosphere. In his sermon, Xaba shared a verse emphasising that those in power should remain humble for the Lord protects those who humble themselves.
Xaba then urged all REPS officers to continue their noble service with love and dedication.
The National Commissioner further acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the entire Police Service, commending their unwavering commitment and tireless efforts leading to the grand Police Day celebration. Masango highlighted that the success of the Police Day was a collective achievement, made possible by the dedication and sacrifices of each and every member of the #PoliceService.
