MALKERNS – The Best Dressed person at this year’s Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival will walk away with E1 000 paid into their Unayo Account.
Time to call in the top-notch designers to make a statement at the Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival, as this year the festival has introduced the Best Dressed Competition for the first time.
This year’s official Luju Fashion designers are Eswatini’s top designers namely:
1. Alvah- Thandwayinkosi Dlamini
2. Ntrentre Couture- Ntrentre Nkambule
3. RUFF CUT ARTS Studio- Madoda Vilakati
4. SGONIAN REPUBLIK – SR: Philani Mpanza
5. Sitfombo Atelier- Sitfombo Dlamini.
The sixth edition of the Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival will be held on August 2–3 at Malandelas in Malkerns.
The competition was announced on the festival’s official Facebook page on Tuesday. The competition is open over the two-day festival period, and the winner will be announced on August 3 on the MasterCard Stage.
In the winner, the judges will be looking for creativity, innovation, and originality with a touch of locality in your Luju outfit!
“Patrons should go all out with bold colours, vibrant patterns, and textiles with intricate details and African aesthetics, all of which celebrate African Futurism,” reads part of the post.
This year’s theme is Roots,” and the fashion is “African Futurism.” The prizes for Best Dressed include; E1000 which will be paid into an Unayo account. A E1000 gift voucher for their next outfit by a local designer of their choice, courtesy of MasterCard. 2X Premium Lounge tickets to Luju Festival 2025, and an #EatSwayLove hamper, plus more.
To enter the competition, one must follow these steps:
• Take a full picture of your outfit at one of the designated Best Dressed Photo Booths at the festival.
• Upload the picture to your Instagram account and tag @luju_festival and @standardbankeswatini. (Ensure the account is not private so it can be accessible.)
• Name and tag your designer.
• Use the hashtags #SBLujuFestival2024, #EatSwayLove, and #Mastercard.
• Register for Unayo and transact a minimum of E50 at the festival.
