OPPORTUNITY FOR FEMALE ENTERPRENEURS TO BE DEVELOPED BY THE US

MBABANE – The United States (US) Mission, in partnership with Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF), has called upon young female entrepreneurs to join the 2024 Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE LESA) program in Lesotho, Eswatini, and South Africa.

The program will assist the candidates to learn how to craft winning business plans, raise capital, and expand their business network.

It also highlights that AWELESA offered free enrolment in the Najafi 100 Million Learners Global Initiative by the Thunderbird School of Global Management Expert-led business management training and mentorship, networking opportunities with local and global leaders and lastly support from U.S. Exchange Alumni networks.

This was announced by US embassy on their social media pages today (Wednesday, July 24, 2024).

The eligibility criteria for the program are, young women aged 21 – 55 years, Businesses in operation tor 5 years.

Some level of post-secondary educational qualification certificate, diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate degree). Citizens/legal residents of South Africa, Lesotho and Eswatini, Reside within 40km of the cohort base locations in Free State (Mangaung), Gauteng Johannesburg, Kwa-Zulu Natal (Pietermaritzburg), Limpopo (Polokwane), Western Cape (Cape Town), Maseru (Lesotho) and Manzini Eswatini.

Committed to an average of five hours per week to the AWE LESA program, basic computer skills and access to a computer/laptop with internet connection and fluent in English.
