Speaking on behalf of the organisation Imana Melanie Fonseca highlighted that the aim of this organisation is to link young people in the nation who are interested in furthering their studies with higher institutions both local and international.
“We also want to bring exposure to students who are in rural areas by bridging the gap between urban schools and rural schools,” she said.
She mentioned that the organisation plans to host more educational expos in communities that are based in rural areas which will focus on bridging the language speaking in rural areas by conducting spelling bees, debates and composition writing competitions.
Dvokodvweni Member of Parliament (MP) Sifiso Shabalala said he was grateful to Sisonkhe for such an opportunity of availing themselves to Dvokodvweni and hoping that they would come back.
“What I observed and liked is that learners were excited and we were able to achieve what we aimed to achieve which is making pupils to make informed decisions about their careers.” Shabalala said.
