MBABANE – Today will go down as a historic day for a soldier, who is also a farmer, for winning a tractor, courtesy of Letshego Financial Services.
Machawe Kunene won the tractor today (Friday, October 4, 2024) at Mavuso Exhibition and Trade Centre. The soldier had joined the Letshego Let’s Go and Win Competition, which was conducted by Letshego Financial Services.
The competition was conducted by Ministry of Agriculture Under Secretary Gugu Shabangu. She conducted the draw with the help of Letshego Financial Services Board Chairman Mandla Dlamini, along with others.
According to those at the event, Kunene could not hold his excitement, as he was seen smiling from ear to ear upon being announced as a winner. He was also given an opportunity to start the tractor and know how it feels like to drive his new tractor. Kunene’s win has been hailed as a Christmas that has come early for him, as we are left with two months before Christmas.
