MTN BUSHFIRE ARTSIST CALL OUT CLOSES

MBABANE – If you were planning to be one of the artists who will perform at the 18th edition of the MTN Bushfire Festival next year, then you have missed the boat as artist applications have officially closed.

This was announced by MTN Bushfire on their official page yesterday. Applications opened on 30 August 2024.

Next year’s festival will be held on 30 May–01 June, 2025. It will be held at the scenic Malandelas in Malkerns.

About 868 applications from 57 countries, some as far away as San Marino, Jamaica, Colombia, Cameroon, Canada, India, Sweden, Angola, and many more, applied for the chance to perform at MTN Bushfire 2025.

Due to the overwhelming response, only successful applicants will be contacted.

According to the information from the page, the response to the artist call-out continues to be a true reflection of MTN Bushfire’s global impact and celebration of diversity. From countries as far as Chile, Norway, India, Haiti, Dominica, Australia, and many more.

The 17th edition of the MTN Bushfire was held at House on Fire on May 31–2 June 2024, at the scenic Malkerns Valley. The festival has been hailed by CNN as the seventh must-attend festival. This edition recorded at least 20,000 daily attendees for the three-day festival. It was the biggest edition since its inception.

This year, the MTN Bushfire Main Stage was headlined by the legendary founders of the Malian Blues, Amadou & Mariam. South Africa’s Thandiswa Mazwai, pioneer/voice of ‘Swazi Soul’, Eswatini’s Bholoja, Maleh, Jeremy Loops, Makhadzi, as well as the Grammy-nominated enigmatic’spirit of African Soul’, Musa Keys, Stewart Sukuma, Zulu Guitar’, Dr. Madala Kunene, alongside Guy Buttery and many other acts.
