MBABANE – An international recognition for Yamkela DJ.
Yamkela Khumalo (29) has secured an international fixture on Stardust Radio in Ibiza, Spain, slated for next Tuesday. When reached for comment, he said, “I am thrilled to announce that I’ll be in the mix on Ibiza Stardust Radio, a radio station based in Ibiza, Spain. My mix will premiere on the 10th of December at 11:00 am (CET) / 12:00 pm (CAT).”

When asked how the gig came about, he said, “The radio station reached out to me on Instagram, and they sent out an invite to me for a guest mix slot. I compiled the mix and submitted it to them, and they accepted it.”
According to the DJ from Manzini, this festive season he is booked for a couple of private gigs/functions and a couple of gigs in Manzini and Mbabane as well.
In January this year, DJ Yamkela bagged his first MTN billboard advert. Other local DJs who have secured MTN billboard ads include MBO, Uncle Karly, and hip-hop artist KrTC
The DJ plays different genres, from Amapiano to Afro-House and pop music.
Billboards are typically placed in high-traffic areas, such as highways, and in cities. Billboard advertising can be a powerful way to build brand awareness and attract customers. It is an effective way of advertising.
Khumalo released a mix titled Paradise Mix Party last December. The mix is a combination of genres, from Amapiano to afro house and even pop music. The person behind the amazing visual is a gentleman by the name of Thando Ginindza, CEO of MH Creative Studio.
Khumalo shared that there would definitely be more mixes, and he plans on releasing his first song soon.
