MBABANE – The Wimbledon Balcony Sessions is not a tennis match, but a music session that will be hosted by the Afro-house duo Trend Twins at Sibane Sami Hotel on December 14, 2024.

The balcony sessions are expected to kick off at 12 pm till late. The dress code is tennis court wear. This was confirmed by the female dynamic duo, the Trend Twins, namely, Nkosenhle Dlamini and Nosimilo Dlamini.

The line-up will include; Trend Twins, Notik, Master P, Stella Jacobs, Miss Lwah, Culolami, and many more local and South African artists that will still be announced leading up to the show.

When reached for comment, the duo shared with this publication that this event is the first-ever event hosted by the Trend Twins with Sibane Sami Hotel.

“It’s inspired by the fact that the ladies are known for dressing up in those tennis skirts, so they decided to do an event of what they loved about, in terms of fashion, which is the tennis outfit, and they chose a tennis open, being the Wimbledon, as the theme,” said the duo.

“People should pull up in numbers, as Sibane Sami Hotel will be the place to be, not only will people enjoy the event, but they will also get a chance to see the beauty of this hotel with a rich history,” they said.

The Trend Twins are fresh from performing at the Maletsunyane Braai Festival in Lesotho over the weekend. The festival was held from November 29 to December 1, 2024. It is worth mentioning that this was their second time performing at this festival.

Early this year they worked with Brothers on Cue and Loony-Tech on a new extended playlist (EP) titled Fruits of Life, which was released on Good Friday.

They also hosted a dance derby between Mbabane and Manzini at the Olympia Africa Centre. The derby will feature five Eswatini choreographers. The choreographers are Sabza HB Mnisi, Thabiso Termie Mvulane, Noc’milo Sergy Dlamini, and Nkhosenhle Braly Mlangeni.
