MBABANE – Ezulwini United’s Bhekani Mthembu was the best player for December in the MTN Premier League.
He scored a goal and recorded three assist to take home the E6 000 cheque. He was presented on Thursday by the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Brand and Marketing Manager Lindokuhle Mthupha.
He beat Illovo’s Captain Gcina Matsebula and Nsingizini Hotspurs Sizwe Khumalo to the award. Green Mamba’s striker Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa won the November award.
Mthembu dedicated the award to his team-mate as he said he achieved through teamwork. He said they will continue to fight to finish the season in a better spot.
Ezulwini United is currently ninth on the log after three wins from 10 games. They have 12 points after their good performance in December, steered by Mthembu.
Meanwhile, Magwanyana’s Lucky Dlamini was the winner of the player of the month for December in the MTN National First Division. He took home E2 000 for his hard work. He was also presented alongside the Ezulwini United player Bhekani Mthembu.
Dlamini said their target is to be promoted to the elite league and he won the award through the support of his team-mates.
