MBABANE – The Millin Market at The Albert Millin has quickly become a must-attend event for families and those seeking a unique market experience. Held once a month, this vibrant gathering offers a curated selection of treasures, handcrafted goods, and rare finds, making it a delightful outing for shoppers of all ages. The recent Saturday market was no exception, buzzing with energy and offering a taste of something truly special.

More than just a place to shop, the Millin Market fosters a fantastic atmosphere. Visitors are treated to a sensory feast, from the tantalising aromas of delicious food to the captivating sounds of live music. The market’s organisers clearly understand the importance of creating an experience, not just a shopping trip.

This month’s market showcased a diverse range of musical talent, adding to the already vibrant atmosphere. From the raw hip hop flavours of Moneylow and DJ Cybos to the soulful house vibes spun by DJ MBO accompanied by Siphiwo 2 Short’s groovy guitar, there was something to get everyone moving. As the sun began to set, DJ Sabeloog took over, providing the perfect sundowner soundtracks. Adding to the excitement, DJ Gazi travelled all the way from Pretoria to keep the crowd on their feet with old-school kwaito, proving that the Millin Market caters to a wide range of musical tastes.

Beyond the music, the market offered a diverse array of stalls to explore. Food lovers could indulge in mouthwatering smash burgers from Explorers Cocktails, sizzling treats from Sizzlers, and authentic braai from The Real Grill. Those with a sweet tooth could satisfy their cravings at Zuzu’s Icy Blast and S&A Candy Corner. Unique finds were also on offer, with Artisan Creations, Nomi’s household items, and a variety of second-hand clothing and shoes stalls providing ample opportunity for treasure hunting.  For those seeking a more permanent souvenir, Black Sheep Tattoos was on hand offering the opportunity to get inked.

Families were well catered for, with a jumping castle for the kids and a range of stalls like Kagogo Bale Market, Forever Living Products, and Bawss Foundation offering something for everyone.  It’s worth noting that Bawss Foundation was also doing their part for the community by collecting sanitary towels for the girl child, adding a touch of social responsibility to the market’s vibrant atmosphere.  And for those looking to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, Bubble House and Hookah Kings provided a laid-back vibe.

Organiser DJ Cybos perfectly captured the essence of the Millin Market when he shared, “What I love most about this event is that it’s family oriented.” This sentiment is evident in every aspect of the market, from the diverse range of activities and vendors to the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

“The Millin Market is more than just a market; it’s a community gathering, a celebration of creativity, and a fantastic family outing. With its carefully curated vendors, delicious food, captivating music, diverse range of stalls, and commitment to giving back, it’s an experience that leaves visitors wanting more. If you’re looking for a unique and memorable day out, mark your calendar for the next Millin Market at The Albert Millin, you won’t be disappointed” Cybos said.
