MBABANE – Talented Eswatini artist Lyrikal Busta continues to make waves in the music industry, expanding his reach into the international market.
He is currently working on the visuals for “Tsena,” a song featuring prominent South African artists Thabiso Thabethe, Flash Ikumkani, and Berry Jive. Released on March 7, 2025, this hip-hop anthem owned by Thabiso Thabethe celebrates perseverance and triumph, and is already gaining attention for its powerful message and infectious beat.
“Tsena” is a collaboration that highlights the unique talents of each artist, blending raw, heartfelt lyrics with a synth and 808-heavy beat that is sure to resonate with listeners. The song’s themes of resilience and determination reflect the artists’ individual journeys and serve as an inspiration to many.
In an exclusive interview, Lyrikal Busta shared his thoughts on the collaboration and the creative process behind “Tsena.” He remarked, “Working on the song was quite amazing. It was inspirational to be in the studio with such talented artists from different parts of South Africa,” referring to his collaborators Thabiso Thabethe, Berry Jive from Pretoria, and Flash Ikumkani from the Eastern Cape. The experience of coming together as artists from diverse backgrounds has enriched the project and strengthened their collective vision.
For Lyrikal Busta, being featured on “Tsena” holds significant meaning. He explained, “It inspired me and gave me a chance to learn from other artists. Our main motto, ‘Swati Music To The World,’ is all about having more international collaborations. It helps us put the name out there.” This commitment to showcasing Swazi talent on a global stage is evident in his work and reflects a growing trend among artists from the region.
In addition to “Tsena,” Lyrikal Busta is on a feature run, eager to expand his musical repertoire and collaborate with even more artists. He recently teamed up with Grixxly on a song titled “Sheleni,” which also features Sarnilo. “I am looking forward to collaborating with artists from Eswatini and beyond,” he stated.
