MBABANE – MC King Ginger vs MC Jumbo.
The vibrant and lively Master of Ceremonies, Jumbo Khumalo, is set to engage in a fierce musical battle against the famed South African YouTuber, King Ginger (born Mzwandile Ngwenya), at Mdzimba View Shisanyama on July 27th, 2024.
The event is set to kick off at 10am.
Jumbo Khumalo, who is an author, events manager, and influencer, expressed his excitement for being part of this event. He said, “I am confident that the pair of Ginger and me is going to be a funny one. It’s not just a pair of two MCs; it’s a pair of two countries, Eswatini and South Africa. The energies will be fire.”
The highly anticipated ‘Musical War,’ now in its third edition, aims to support local artists and provide them with a platform to exhibit their talents, expressed the event’s director, Sibusiso Dlamini, known affectionately as ‘Sbu de Drum DJ’.
“We are trying to uplift our new and upcoming local artists and give them a platform to showcase their talents in the war zone of music,” he said.
This year’s Musical War has invited artists from four different regions. It is focusing on getting the cream of Eswatini and new upcoming artists, so fans are to expect new faces as well. This year’s line-up includes; The Bishops vs. De Dang & Vasco; Maphi vs. Bay Bash; Culolam vs. Bisto; WassaBee vs. Chantel; Zulu D vs. DJ MBO; Ayacity vs. Sbu De Drum DJ; Karly B vs. Mix Mash; Cup vs. Fantacy; and Illa Penboy vs. Young Zesh.
The event is now in the last stages of preparation. General tickets are going for E100 and VIP at E200. Tickets will only be sold at the venue.
