EZULWINI – Gail Groening, speaking on behalf of Stefanutti Stocks, has commended the CIC-UNDP Youth Empowerment Programme (EYEP) as a powerful example of meaningful collaboration between education and industry, applauding its role in shaping future leaders and professionals. Groening delivered the remarks during the launch of the Graduate Internship Programme, commending the initiative’s strategic focus on empowering young professionals.

She praised the programme as a commendable example of how partnerships can equip the next generation with the tools needed to thrive. “The CIC-UNDP Youth Empowerment Programme, or EYEP, is a truly commendable initiative,” she said. “It stands as a beacon of hope and a testament to the power of strategic partnerships aimed at nurturing the next generation of leaders, innovators, and change makers.”

Groening emphasised the alignment of EYEP’s goals with Stefanutti Stocks’ own values, particularly in promoting innovation, practical learning, and national development. “We firmly believe that investing in youth is investing in the future of our industry and our nation,” she noted.

According to her, hosting the interns has been a rewarding journey for the company, with the experience exceeding expectations. “We envisioned a partnership that would offer mutual benefits, and I can confidently say that our expectations have been far exceeded,” she remarked.

The interns, she added, gained essential workplace skills in problem solving, communication, adaptability, and teamwork,  all key attributes needed in the construction and infrastructure industries. “The skills you’ve honed here are invaluable assets that will serve you exceptionally well in your careers,” she told the graduates.

She concluded by thanking the CIC and UNDP teams for initiating and supporting the programme. “Your commitment to youth empowerment is truly inspiring, and we at Stefanutti Stocks are honoured to be a part of this impactful initiative.”

Groening reaffirmed the company’s desire to continue the partnership in future internship cycles. “It has been a privilege for the organisation to host these exceptional graduates,” she said. “We wish each and every one of them the very best in their future endeavours.”
