MBABANE- Sisonkhe United faced a tumultuous 2024/25 MTN Premier League season, battling fiercely to accumulate enough points to secure 11th place on the log and avoid the drop to the First Division. Despite the adversity and stiff competition, the club managed to maintain its premiership status setting a foundation for a hopeful future.
Chairman Motsa acknowledged the challenges faced by the team but also highlighted their commendable efforts to hold their ground against stronger clubs. “We fought well against big clubs on the land in the previous season, established our brand well and kept our premiership status alive ” he said. His remarks reflected the club’s determination to survive and grow within Eswatini’s top-flight football.
Building on this mindset Motsa called for renewed vigor and commitment from players and staff alike. “Let’s double all efforts from the previous season,” he stated, emphasizing that the upcoming campaign demands even greater dedication. To this end Sisonkhe United has already launched pre-season preparations focused on improving fitness levels and team cohesion.
With key players rumored to depart recruitment efforts are underway to fill critical gaps and strengthen the squad where it will be needed. Motsa believes that a solid pre-season will be crucial in setting the tone for a competitive season ahead. “The club has to compete and this will start with proper pre-season arrangements to help our current players regain fitness and kick off the upcoming season on a high note,” he affirmed.
The chairman also extended his gratitude to the technical management and stakeholders who tirelessly supported the club throughout its difficult campaign. Their collective efforts ensured Sisonkhe United’s survival and provided a platform for the team to build upon.
As Sisonkhe United looks forward to the new season, the message is clear: perseverance, strategic planning, and strengthened teamwork will be key in their quest to rise up the MTN Premier League standings in 2025/26.
