MBABANE – The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) is impressed with the contribution made by the Hhohho Regional Football Association (HRFA) and Instacash as far as developing the sport is concerned.
The HRFA Executive was given the praise by EFA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Frederick Mngomezulu during the launch of the Instacash HRFA FA Cup set to start in August. Mngomezulu was also part of the guests during the launch.
“There is a lot that is being done by the HRFA when it comes to football development and we are happy about that. They are assisting us in developing the sport as per the government mandate,” he said.
Mngomezulu said even the other regions being Manzini, Lubombo and Shiselweni were also doing well but HRFA was in the front. Instacash is et to launch the same tournaments with Shiselweni next, followed by Lubombo and Manzini will be last.
He then thanked Instacash for their commitment in developing football.
“Instacash is not only giving focus to the elite but they are also helping in the developing of the sport as witnessed with the Schools Balls Games. It was good seeing schools playing and during the finals, Somhlolo National Stadium was filled to capacity, something we encourages to other companies” he said.
HRFA have partnered with a number of companies who sponsoring their development leagues and elite leagues.
HRFA Chairman Comfort Shongwe said they were grateful to sponsors like Instacash as they are there to complete what they started with players at school level. He said they believe they did well as the HRFA last years when to comes to the Instacash tournament and that is the reason they were back with a bigger tournament.
