MANZINI – The Municipal Council of Manzini has officially opened registration for vendors wishing to participate in this year’s Inner City Flea Market, inviting entrepreneurs, crafters and food vendors to secure their places in one of the city’s largest community marketplaces.
According to the council, registration will take place from 13 to 17 July 2026 at the Gate House, Civic Centre. Interested applicants are required to bring a copy of their national identity document and proof of residence when registering.
The council has announced that the market will accommodate 150 individual traders, 300 gazebo vendors and 400 institutional exhibitors, providing opportunities for a wide range of businesses and organisations to showcase their products and services.
Municipal officials have clarified that the process will begin with registration for all applicants before any payments are collected. Once registration has been completed, successful applicants will then be informed of the payment process and the next steps towards securing their trading spaces.
In a statement shared on its social media platforms, the council described the Inner City Flea Market as a vibrant and diverse marketplace where visitors can explore vintage items, household goods, handmade crafts and many other locally produced products.
The initiative forms part of the municipality’s ongoing efforts to support local businesses while creating a lively trading environment that encourages residents and visitors to shop locally.
By bringing together entrepreneurs from different sectors, the flea market is also expected to stimulate economic activity within the city and provide small businesses with an opportunity to increase their visibility and connect with new customers.
The Municipal Council of Manzini has encouraged all eligible vendors to register within the designated period, noting that participation is expected to attract significant interest.
The return of the Inner City Flea Market is expected to further strengthen Manzini’s growing reputation as a centre for local enterprise, community engagement and economic development.
