MBABANE – Government has set aside E600 000 for Tinkhundla National Talent Search Competition – Arts and Culture category.
This announcement was made by Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Bongani Nzima today (Friday, July 12, 2024) at Lilunga House in Mbabane.
The Tinkhundla National Talent Search Competition will be divided into two categories: the Sports category, and Culture category.
“ I am now pleased to announce that Government, through the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs, has set aside E2 million as a total sponsorship package for the Tinkhundla National Talent Search Competition. E1.4 Million will go towards sports while E600 000 will cover arts and culture,” he said.
The Minister also urged emaSwati to fully support this initiative which is aimed at uplifting the lives of our young people. Also urge community leaders to work with them to curtail any corruption and violence that may wish to rear its ugly head in this Competition.
Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) CEO Stanley Dlamini also expressed his gratitude towards the government and Minister. “ we are excited to go and talk about art and culture to Tinkundla constituency. This will give us an opportunity to know when that person has made it big on which constituency does he or she comes from. This is an opportunity to help us do directory of artists,” he said.
The Tinkundla National Talent Search Competition was successfully officially launched today by the Minister.
