IF HE REALLY LOVES YOU, HE WILL ADJUST

MBABANE – A love story of strong faith and standing your ground saw the bride, Njabulo Dlamini, insist on what she strongly believed in as a Christian.

She politely declined to go the traditional way of kutekwa by her now husband, Benele Ginindza. It went against her beliefs, as she is a Christian. She was also a praise team singer at her church. She was also not a fan of taking the DC route either, until her husband saved for an engagement, and last week they finally had their white wedding.

The couple met at Oshoek in mid-June 2018. The groom said, “I introduced myself as someone who was working at Bhunya Forest, yet I was a soldier, and we started as friends. At first glance, I was in love with her. We exchanged numbers until early 2019, when we had our first date at Mbabane Galitos. Fast forward to 2020, I asked to teka her, she almost killed me and said she couldn’t show her breast as she was on the praise team. It would cause confusion at church.”

He went on to add, “I was angry and told myself she was not ready to be a wife, so I decided to give her some time to think about it, without any luck. So I came up with the idea of DC, but she still refused. With the love I have for her, I decided to raise money for our engagement, which was last year on December 17. She said I needed to pay lobola as well. I decided for us to get married first and do the lobola later, and she finally agreed,” said the groom.

The wedding was held at Evenly Bering High School Hall on July 6, 2024. The theme colours were wine red and navy.
