MANZINI – “Every artist is a headliner.”
These powerful words from Philani Maswati Charity Organization Chairman Lutfo Dlamini set the tone for what promises to be the most inclusive and exciting edition of Eswatini’s Biggest Braai yet.
Get ready for an unforgettable weekend of music, celebration, and fire-grilled flavour as over 20 local artists prepare to take the stage at the ninth Annual Biggest Braai, happening July 26, 2025, at the Mavuso Trade Centre.
“This year, every artist is a headliner in the Biggest Braai 2025 because they all have fans. They are all important and will be showcasing amazing local talent,” said Dlamini, reinforcing the event’s commitment to uplifting Eswatini talent.
Confirmed acts include crowd favourites such as AyaCity, The Scientists, The Prefect, Young Zesh, Zulu D, and DJ MBO—with even more names set to drop in the coming weeks.
While the heart of the event is undeniably local, Dlamini confirmed that South African stars Naledi Aphiwe and the legendary DJ Tira will be joining the fun. “The outsiders are just a cherry on top,” he said with a smile. “This event is for EmaSwati.”
Adding to the excitement, a special treat awaits those born on July 26—an unveiling of the biggest birthday cake at the event. “We got the biggest cake for those born on 26 July. Let’s all attend—tell a friend to tell a friend,” encouraged Dlamini.
The celebration spills over into Sunday, bringing a soulful and spiritual close to the weekend. Gospel artists Jumbo (SA) and Nothando Dlamini will minister, while couples can participate in a vow renewal ceremony, celebrating love and unity.
Dlamini summed it up best: “This is more than just a braai — it’s a full celebration of Eswatini talent, unity, and culture.”
