MBABANE – With the aim of reuniting families and addressing pressing social challenges, the Deputy Prime Minister’s offices of Eswatini have reached out to various communities and pre-recorded a series titled “Asibambaneni Sibengumndeni.” This impactful series focuses on real-life stories of families reuniting, capturing their emotional journeys.
‘Asibambane Sibengumndeni’ series will start playing on July 9, 2025, at 8 PM on Eswatini TV. This date was revealed by Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla during a press conference held at the Deputy Prime Minister’s offices in Mbabane today, July 4, 2025.
The “Asibambaneni Sibengumndeni” series is not just a television program; it is part of a broader governmental initiative aimed at curbing the alarming rates of school dropouts, drug abuse, and crime—issues that have become increasingly prevalent among the youth, especially those who have lost their parents. By showcasing heartwarming reunifications, the series seeks to remind viewers of the critical role that family and community play in shaping the lives of children and adolescents.

A significant factor contributing to school dropout rates in Eswatini is the lack of parental support. Many children face emotional and financial challenges when they lose a parent, which can lead to disengagement from education. The series aims to highlight these struggles while also showcasing successful reunifications that inspire hope. By bringing families back together, the program serves as a reminder of the importance of nurturing relationships and providing emotional support during difficult times.
Furthermore, Dladla emphasizes that the government is committed to addressing the root causes of these social issues. “Sakha sive kutsi sibe munye,” she stated, reinforcing the belief that unity is essential for building a stronger society. The series encourages viewers to recognize their roles in supporting one another, particularly in times of crisis. Community engagement is vital; individuals are urged to participate in local initiatives that provide mentorship and guidance to vulnerable youth.

By showcasing stories of recovery and family support, “Asibambaneni Sibengumndeni” seeks to offer alternative pathways for youth, encouraging them to seek help and stay connected with their families and communities. The series will also provide resources and information on available support services, making it easier for those in need to reach out for help.
In addition to focusing on family reunification, the government is extending its efforts to assess and improve the living conditions of families in need. This holistic approach aims to ensure that families have the resources necessary to provide a stable environment for their children, thus reducing the likelihood of school dropouts and substance abuse.
The series will be repeated every Sunday at 6:30 PM on Eswatini Tv, offering multiple opportunities for viewers to engage with these powerful narratives.
Join this vital mission of family reunification and witness the transformative power of love and connection through “Asibambaneni Sibengumndeni” series.
