MBABANE – The country’s international players Banele ‘Stiga’ Ndzabandzaba and Mxolisi Mkhontfo will face-off in the Botswana FNB Premiership.
Ndzabandzaba plays for Botswana Defense Force XI (BDF XI) with Mxolisi Mkhontfo playing for Jwaneng Galaxy. The two sides will clash on Sunday at the Lobatse Sports Complex kick-off 4pm.
Jwaneng Galaxy who are under the guidance of former National Football National team, Sihlangu Pieter De Jongh is fourth on log. The defending champions have 26 points after 14 matches while BDF XI are 12th on the 16 team’s league with 13 points.
Ndzabandzaba who played for Mbabane Highlanders in the country joined the army side last year in June on a loan from Police XI while Mkhontfo signed two seasons ago from Green Mamba.
The two players are among the five international players currently playing outside the country. The others are Justice Figareido who plays for Richards Bay under the South Africa Betway Premiership, Lindo Mkhontfo who is with Zambia’s Zesco United and Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze who play for Tanzania Premier League side Tabora United.
Meanwhile, there are now Emaswati working under the Botswana Premier League as Former Mbabane Highlanders’ Manager Space Jele has joined Botswana’s Extension Gunners Football Club that is now currently under the leadership of South African Businessman Ally Kgomongwe who was also the Chairman at Mbabane Highlanders.
