MBABANE – Big Fish appointed NACA chairperson!
South African legendary Gospel award-winning artist Sipho Makhabane, affectionately known as The Big Fish, has been appointed Chairman of the Eswatini National Arts and Culture Awards (NACA).
This is a remarkable appointment for the country’s prestigious awards show, bringing on board an artist with a wealth of experience, accolades, and industry expertise. This announcement was made today by Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) CEO Stanley Dlamini.
The Big Fish, renowned for his soul-stirring voice and hit collaborations with Dr. Rebecca Malope and others, expressed his commitment to making the NACA Awards a WOW experience. In a previous interview, Makhabane said, “This is not just about one night; it’s about showcassing to the world what we’re capable of and inspiring the next generation of artists to reach for the stars.”
When reached for comment, Dlamini lauded the appointment of Makhabane, emphasising the importance of bringing in experts like him to take the NACA Awards to the next level.
