MBABANE – Local Afro-pop artist Blxck Malto is set to release his upcoming single “Inhlupheko,” featuring Mlazer R and Vezzy M.
The track is set to be released on August 16, 2024, on YouTube.
The song is a soulful journey through Blxck Malto’s childhood memories and merging prayers. Inhlupheko is also a testament to the power of music to heal and inspire. Drawing on his own difficult childhood, the local artist pays tribute to his mother and the struggles they faced together.
Black Malto born Siphosethu Simelane, from Motshane, was raised by a single parent after being deserted by his father. He survived unfavourable childhood conditions.
Growing up, he had a dream of being a soccer player until he spent time with his music-aspirant friends. In 2021, he was invited into the studio by his friends. He had the opportunity to record a verse, which paved his musical journey. In March 2021, he released “Memories.” . After its release, he discovered that people enjoyed his music; he never looked back.
Simelane shared that working on Inhlupheko had challenges as he was getting different views from his followers and friends. The majority of them were concerned about the song being deep and that releasing it could lead to challenges when it comes to performing it. Due to his belief in sharing the message behind it, he went into the studio and started working on it.
