MANZINI – The countdown is on for the most anticipated culinary event of the year!
Bucie’s Food Expo 2025 is back for its third edition, set to take place on June 28 at the charming Ursel Guest House in Fairview South.
With an atmosphere full of flavour and community, this year’s theme, “Love on a Plate,” promises to serve more than just mouth-watering dishes—it’s a celebration of culture, creativity, and connection.

Bucie’s Food Expo isn’t your average buffet. This vibrant gathering brings food lovers, entrepreneurs, and creatives together for a day of indulgence, inspiration, and, of course, socializing. “It’s a chance to experience amazing food while making memories, laughing, and connecting with others,” says chef and founder, Sibusisiwe “Bucie” Mthethwa. Her passion for both food and community has made the Expo a major highlight on Eswatini’s culinary calendar.
With over 16 carefully selected dishes on the menu, attendees can expect a delightful fusion of traditional and contemporary African cuisines. From Eswatini to various African countries, each dish is a delicious journey across the continent. And there’s always a surprise! Bucie and her team unveil a secret signature dish every year, creating excitement and curiosity among guests. “The expo offers a blend of traditional and western cuisines, with a signature dish to keep everyone on their toes,” Bucie reveals.

But it’s not just about the food—Bucie’s Food Expo is a hub for connection. Entrepreneurs, aspiring chefs, and food enthusiasts alike gather to share ideas, create opportunities, and break down the barriers in the culinary world. “I expect to meet new business networks and clients, as most attendees are entrepreneurs. We’re also breaking the buffet stereotype and showing that the culinary world is much more expansive,” Bucie adds.
The event goes beyond great food with an exciting entertainment lineup, featuring the infectious rhythms of Mvila’s and Emagagu, setting the perfect mood for a festive afternoon. The Expo kicks off at 12 noon, and due to high demand, tickets are priced at E350 per person. Early booking is essential as no tickets will be sold at the door, and seating is limited.

For an unforgettable experience that engages all the senses, Bucie’s Food Expo 2025 is the place to be. Whether you’re a foodie, an entrepreneur, or simply looking for an afternoon of good food and great company, come hungry for flavour, stay for the connections, and leave with a full heart—and maybe a few new friends!
