MBABANE – The highly anticipated Buhleni Buganu Ceremony has been rescheduled to February 21, 2025.
An official announcement made today confirmed that the Lutsango Regiment from the Hhohho region is now required to assemble at the Buhleni Royal Residence on February 21. Traditional singing and dancing by the Lutsango members will take place the following day. The festival will conclude on Sunday, February 23.
Originally planned for February 7, the festival’s postponement has delayed one of Eswatini’s most cherished traditional events. Many locals and international visitors, eager to participate in the vibrant celebration, will now have to wait a little longer. Over the years, the Buganu Festival has attracted participants from within and beyond Eswatini’s borders, underscoring its cultural significance and broad appeal.
This adjustment allows for additional anticipation and preparation for the traditional celebration.
