MBABANE – Tomorrow marks the highly anticipated release of the short film titled Regrets, a poignant narrative that aims to reignite hope in the hearts of those who have lost a parent.

In a recent social media post, local poet Christian Maz showcased the beautiful melody of Mahle Dlamini, whose cover of the late South African artist Zahara’s hit song “Loliwe” captivated audiences. Accompanied by Maz’s poetry and Xolani Matsaba on guitar, the collaboration highlights the pure talent behind their latest project, House of Gold.
Christian Maz, born Phiwosihle Christian Maziya (22), shared insights into the project, revealing that the trio has already shot five videos. “We actually started the concept on (February 3, 2025. We also shot a Valentine’s music video that will drop on February 13, 2025,” he explained.
The videos were filmed by Sibusiso Dlamini at Mvakwelitje in Mbabane. Maz expressed his appreciation for Dlamini’s work, sharing that he has worked with Sibusiso Dlamini for the last two years. According to the local poet one of our videos has reached over a million views on YouTube.”
Growing up in Mvakwelitje, Maz turned professional in 2020 while still attending Mater Dolorosa High School in Mbabane. He has performed at various local shows and hopes to see greater support for poetry and local artists in Eswatini before they gain recognition abroad.
As the release of Regrets approaches, the community eagerly awaits the impact of this heartfelt film and the continued growth of Christian Maz and his collaborators in the vibrant world of Eswatini’s creative arts.
