MBABANE – For a minute one could have easily mistaken the beautiful melody of Mahle Dlamini to the late South African artist Zahara in the music clip posted on Facebook by local poet Christina Maz.
Dlamini did a cover version of the late SA star hit song titled Loliwe, while Christian Maz rendered poetry, and Xolani Matsaba played his guitar in the background.
Pure talent is what best describes the latest project spearheaded by the talented poet titled House of Gold; it is one of the few projects that the poet is working on featuring equally talented songstress Dlamini and Matsaba.
It’s worth noting by the time of compiling this report, the video had been viewed 8600. The video was uploaded on Tuesday.
Christian Maz born Phiwosihle Christian Maziya (22) shared with this publication that the trio have shot five videos for this project. He narrated, “We actually started the concept on Monday (3 February 2025). We have shot five videos so far. We also shot a Valentine’s music video which will drop on 13 February 2025,” shared the poet.
When asked how did he pick the talented Dlamini for the project? He said, “I actually saw one of her videos on TikTok last week, Thursday, and approached her. I just saw great talent. So I knew I had to collaborate with such pure talent. She has so much potential; she is going far,” said Maziya.
Maziya revealed that it’s always been his wish to do this type of project; he then decided to test the waters with the talented vocalist.

The videos were shot by Sibusiso Dlamini at Mvakwelitje in Mbabane. “I have worked with Sibusiso Dlamini for the last two years. One of our videos has reached over a million views on YouTube.”
Maziya grew up in Mvakwelitje; he turned professional in 2020 when he was still in high school at Mater Dolorosa High School in Mbabane. He has performed in different shows locally. He shared that he would love to see Eswatini support poetry and promote its own artists before they break out to shine in other countries.
For his next show, he will perform at the Love and Laughter Fest, which will be held on Valentine’s Day at Mantenga Cultural Village Arena.
