MBABANE – South African DJ and music producer Chymamusique is set to take the stage at the 23:28 Lounge in Mbabane next Friday on February 28, 2025.
The highly anticipated show, aptly titled ‘Rhythm & Groove’, promises to be a night filled with endless entertainment.
Chymamusique, born Collen Mmotla in Diphale, Burgersfort, has carved a niche for himself in the South African music scene since the early 2000s. Initially starting his musical journey as a gospel and jazz pianist, he transitioned into the world of house music in 2005, quickly establishing himself as a prominent DJ and producer. His passion for music and dedication to his craft have led him to become one of the most sought-after talents in the industry.
The upcoming performance at 23:28 Lounge will feature an impressive lineup of supporting acts, including The Bishops, Drum Rhythm, DJ Cup, Slotta, Gong King, and Ace4nic. With entry to the event being free, it presents a fantastic opportunity for fans to experience an unforgettable night of live music and entertainment.
Chymamusique’s rise to fame has been marked by a series of significant milestones in his career. His third studio album, ‘Musique’, released on September 30, 2021, debuted at number one on the South African iTunes album charts, solidifying his status as a leading figure in the house music genre. The album features collaborations with renowned artists such as Afrotraction, Da Vynalist, DJ Tears PLK, Brian Temba, Rona Ray, and Buddynice, showcasing Chymamusique’s versatility and ability to blend various musical styles.
Throughout his career, Chymamusique has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Vinny Da Vinci, Ralf Gum, Brazo Wa Afrika, Glen Lewis, QB Smith, Charles Webster, and Atjazz. In addition to his work as a DJ, Chymamusique is also the founder and manager of Chymamusique Records and is signed to prominent record labels such as House Afrika and Soul Candi.
