MBABANE – Country music fans are in for a treat as Cleopatra’s ‘A Decade & A Rose’ album is now out!
Fresh from her performance at the recent Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival last weekend, Eswatini’s celebrated internationally acclaimed Country and Western Music artist, Cleopatra Methula, released her much-awaited debut album today (9 August 2024).
The album is titled ‘A Decade and a Rose’, a title that celebrates her 10-year stint in the music industry. Also known as ‘Misses Roses’ Methula recorded the album live at her sold-out show held last year at the Mbabane Theatre Club. The album has 14 songs in total, including three studio songs as bonus tracks. It is now available on all digital streaming platforms.
When reached for comment, she said, “I am excited to finally share a full body of work with my fans in Eswatini and all over the world. This album is the first of many projects that I will be sharing with fans in the next phase of my career, having spent a decade learning, networking, and perfecting my art,” she said.
Methula said making this album was quite an experience like no other, as the band had to ensure a higher level of perfection given that it was recorded in front of a live audience that sold out the venue. She implored EmaSwati to stream the album and share it with friends and relatives within and outside Eswatini.
She paid homage to collaborators, mentors, and sponsors who include Destiny Music Group, INSTACASH, Amandla Financial Services, The Country Music Association, her sister and backing singer Tema Methula, Dusty and Stones, and most importantly, her fans.
