MBABANE – The recent Mega Clean-Up Day in Mbabane proved to be an extraordinary occasion, marked by the commendable efforts of community members.

The community members united in substantial numbers to enhance the cleanliness and ecological sustainability of their neighbourhoods.

The enthusiastic residents converged in four distinct locations—Sidvwashini, Fonteyn, Mahwalala Zone 5, and Nkwalini Zone 2—infusing the day with an atmosphere brimming with invigorating energy and collective spirit.

While speaking on behalf of the Municipal Council of Mbabane, Information and Public Relations Officer (PRO) Lucky Tsabedze noted the unwavering commitment shown by the participants, which included not only dedicated residents but also pivotal organisations such as the Eswatini Environment Authority and the local community committees.

Tsabedze said these participants deserved particular recognition for their exemplary roles in orchestrating this impactful event.

Tsabedze further observed that the participants’ collaborative spirit and determined actions were emblematic of a deep-seated dedication to the preservation of the environment, serving as a profound source of inspiration for all.

“As we look ahead, anticipation builds for future clean-up initiatives planned in various other communities, promising the potential for even broader community engagement and environmental stewardship,” Tsabedze said.

Tsabedze pleaded with the Mbabane residents to carry this momentum forward, fostering a culture of collective responsibility and active participation in sustaining the natural beauty of our surroundings.
