BUHLENI- Afro house DJ to deliver exclusive 3-step experience to Luju Festival 2025.
Thabiso Ndwandwe, better known as DJ Obsession, is set to perform at the Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival taking place from 1st to 2nd October 2025 at House on Fire, and he’s bringing with him a special kind of fire. From Buhleni, and now to one of the country’s most celebrated stages, Obsession’s journey is one of growth, grit, and an undeniable passion for Afro house.
“Feels so good. I am proud of myself looking at where I’m coming from. Getting recognition from one of the biggest festivals in the land comes as a blessing to me. From here, I can only go up,” he shares.
After starting his music journey in 2017 as part of a group, DJ Obsession took the solo route in 2023 and has since been curating a unique sound that blends Afro house with fresh, local three-step energy.
Luju 2025 attendees should brace for an exclusive performance. “The audience should look forward to an exclusive 3-step to be delivered on the day. I’ll be dropping a few locally produced 3-step sounds,” he reveals. Known for his deep selection and crisp blends, DJ Obsession promises a set that will stay with the audience long after the festival ends.
Always on the hunt for fresh and unreleased music, DJ Obsession explains how he keeps his sets innovative: “To stay creative and relevant, I always look out for new songs, especially unreleased stuff. I do buy some if needed. I also chop a few acapellas here and there.”
With Luju known for its diverse and vibrant audience, DJ Obsession embraces the challenge of creating a musical journey that resonates with everyone. “Music is a unifying figure in such a set-up. It should be able to accommodate the audience in their diversities. My job as an entertainer is to decorate the event musically,” he says.
“Events like Luju create an atmosphere where we are able to showcase our talents in all different aspects within our creative capabilities,” he adds.
As anticipation builds for Luju Festival 2025, DJ Obsession’s set promises to be one of the standout moments, a celebration of Eswatini’s rich talent, wrapped in rhythm and soul.
