MBABANE – The second edition of the Instacash Hhohho Regional Football Association (HRFA) will see 14 teams walking away with lucrative prizes.
The champions from the 14 zones where the tournament will be played, starting in August will take home E7 000 including a branded Instacash soccer kit. The tournament will be played in 14 zones under the HRFA.
Teams to qualify for the tournament will have to register the highest number of people for the Instacash Funeral Cover that goes for E15 monthly and it pays E10 000 for a late member. The teams will have to register the members from their communities and only four teams from each zone will qualify for the one-day tournaments.
The tournament was launched on Tuesday, with Instacash Managing Director Mandla ‘Cheeks’ Nxumalo announcing a sponsorship of E231 000 that they have contributed with some of their partners including EBet.
Last year’s sponsorships for the HRFA was E168 000 and this year there have been an increase of E63 000. The increase of the sponsorship then saw the increase in prizes as 2023 champions were taking home E5 000.
“We are happy that there are companies that have partnered with us in this endeavour that is set to boats communities around the country. We are going to visit 60 communities around the country with 14 under the HRFAS. This will also go a long way in assisting these communities to register for the cheapest funeral cover in the country,” he said.
Nxumalo said they will be painting stores around the zones as already they have done so under Ndzingeni.
The fiurst tournament under the HRFA will be played under Mhlangatane on August 17.
