MBABANE – Each ticket for the highly anticipated National Sports Awards costs E350 and only 100 tickets are available to the public.
The National Sports Awards are scheduled for Friday evening at Esibayeni Lodge, where the elite of the country’s sporting fraternity will be honoured. The awards are hosted by the Eswatini Sports and Recreation Council (ESRC) under the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs.
The ticket price includes a gala dinner. ESRC Media Officer Dumisani Ntiwane stated that tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, with no preferential treatment. Tickets can be purchased at the ESRC office in Mbabane.
“Tickets are priced at E350 each, which includes a gala dinner. Only 100 tickets are available for the public, and they are being sold at the sports council offices in Mbabane on a first-come, first-served basis. No favours will be granted,” he said.
Ten categories will be awarded on the evening, including Outstanding Junior Sportsman, Outstanding Junior Sportswoman, Outstanding Senior Sportsman, Outstanding Senior Sportswoman, Outstanding Sports Administrator, Outstanding Sports Association, Outstanding Sports Coach, Outstanding Sports Journalists (Print and Digital), and Outstanding Sports Team.
The winners are likely to qualify to represent the country at the African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region V awards.
