MBABANE – Nsingizini Hotspurs have once again proven their might on the pitch after being crowned champions of the 8bet Trade Fair Cup 2025, walking away with a staggering E630,000 grand prize, a trophy, and gold medals. The final showdown, played before a packed crowd at the Mavuso Sports Ground, saw the defending champions edge out Green Mamba to retain their crown.

This victory is not an isolated achievement for the side from southern Eswatini. Just last year, Hotspurs made history when they were crowned MTN Premier League champions, marking their rise among the giants of local football. Their back-to-back triumphs send a clear message of dominance, resilience, and consistency in the country’s football scene.

What made this victory even more remarkable was the fact that Hotspurs played without a full-strength squad, as five of their key players were away on national duty. Among the missing stars were:

• Thubelihle Mavuso – Midfielder

• Neliswa “Tiger” Dlamini – Forward

• Kwakhe Thwala – Defender

• Khanyakwezwe Shabalala – Goalkeeper

• Nkosing’phile Shongwe – Midfielder

Despite the absence of these influential players, the team showed depth, tactical discipline, and fighting spirit to rise to the occasion and clinch the title.

Hotspurs’ coach praised his players for their determination, noting that the win was a testament to the club’s strong culture of hard work and teamwork. Fans, meanwhile, celebrated loudly as the team lifted the trophy, with many already tipping the champions for yet another successful league campaign.

“Am excited about average age of our boys, the way they have presented themselves in terms of better appreciation, thanks to the technical team and to the fans. To the fans am very impressive the numbers are growing. I think the multiplier factor is three so by the end of the season we would have tripple the number of fans.” Claimed Shiba.

With this latest silverware, Nsingizini Hotspurs have cemented their status as one of Eswatini’s most formidable football clubs, and all eyes will be on them as they look to extend their dominance in upcoming competitions.
