MBABANE – The early registration period for the annual Yellow Epilepsy Charity Half Marathon has been extended until next Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
This marks the first road race of 2025, scheduled for February 1, starting at 6 a.m. at the Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) offices, adjacent to the Somhlolo National Stadium.
Initially, early registration was set to close at the end of December. However, the Eswatini Epilepsy Organisation (EEO) has decided to provide runners with additional time to sign up for this charitable event.
Race Categories and Fees:
21km (Half Marathon): E200
10km Race: E170
5km Fun Run: E140
Participants who register during the early registration period will also receive complimentary t-shirts.

Last year’s marathon attracted approximately 800 participants, and organizers are optimistic that attendance will increase this year.
Proceeds from the event will benefit individuals living with epilepsy in Eswatini. The Eswatini Epilepsy Organisation continues to advocate for the needs of people with epilepsy, ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources.
