MBABANE – Determination echoed through every corner of The Luke Commission Conference Hall as Eswatini Business Health and Wellness (EBH) led the charge yesterday in commemorating the Private Sector’s World AIDS Day.

The event was held under the theme “NKWE! Eswatini Taking the Rights Path to End AIDS” (Nkwe! Asihloniphe Emalungelo Sincobe i-AIDS Eswatini), which highlighted the significance of human rights in combating the AIDS epidemic.

The organizers of the ceremony highlighted that the theme served as a call to uphold dignity, respect, and inclusivity in the fight against HIV/AIDS. According to EBH, it echoed the national commitment to achieving an AIDS-free Eswatini by 2030, emphasizing that respecting individuals’ rights to health, safety, and support is key to this goal.

Those who were in attendance described the event as an inspiring celebration of progress and resilience, marked by insightful presentations, engaging discussions, and a shared vision for a healthier nation. The participants noted that it served as a platform to strengthen partnerships and redouble efforts to overcome the challenges posed by the epidemic.

In a statement shared on social media, EBH encouraged the public to continue championing awareness, compassion, and concrete action.

“Let’s continue to champion awareness, compassion, and action as we journey toward ending AIDS,” the statement read.

The event was a reminder of the collaborative efforts required to combat HIV/AIDS and the critical role of the private sector in this mission. Organizers reiterated the importance of leveraging such platforms to promote education, support, and sustainable solutions in Eswatini’s fight against the disease.
