MBABANE – In an effort to enhance Eswatini companies’ opportunities to export their products, Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) has undertaken to improve the Buy Eswatini App.
The Buy Eswatini (buyeswatini.com) is an application that was launched during the COVID-19 era to allow local companies to export products to the world through digitilisation. Yesterday (Tuesday, October 8, 2024) EIPA convened a workshop to improve the use of this platform.
The training in the workshop was done by the International Integrated Systems Inc. (IISI), a Taiwan based benchmarking company providing professional information and communication services to local traders. The IISI has visited Eswatini to train local businesses on business digitisation.
The training centered around how to create e-commerce platforms to generate online sales. In addition to the training they provided yesterday, the IISI has committed to updating buyeswatini.com, EIPA’s e-commerce platform which allows local companies to expose their products to the world.
During the event, EIPA Domestic Trade Promotion Manager Siphesihle Nkhabindze represented EIPA CEO Sibani Mngomezulu. Nkhabindze commented on the value that the IISI has added to local companies through this training and the continued impact that would be enjoyed by over 400 traders who have listed their products on BuyEswatni.com. More local sellers will be able to list their products online once the upgrade is complete.
