MANZINI – The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) today launched a strategic partnership that aims to elevate the upcoming Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF).
This significant initiative, held at the Mavuso Exhibition and Trade Centre, was marked by the generous contributions of various partners.
One of the highlights of the launch was the donation of 100 packets of one kilograms of Nucane Sugar (LoGicane) by the Eswatini Sugar Association (ESA), represented by their Public Relations Specialist, Thobile Maripe. She said this contribution underscored the industry’s commitment to supporting local initiatives.
Thulani Tsabedze, Human Resources Manager at the Corban Group of Companies, expressed the company’s longstanding dedication to cultural development. Tsabedze stated that Corban Group was known for its diverse retail, hardware, electrical, and construction businesse. He mentioned that Corban had been a consistent supporter of the EITF. They pledged their continued support, emphasising the importance of community involvement in fostering economic growth.
“Corban Eswatini has donated E30 000 to culture. In collaboration with Mula Sport, we have also contributed E50 000 to cultural initiatives,” said Tsabedze.
Infinity Knits representative shared their excitement about contributing to the local economy through job creation. They cited the country’s business-friendly environment and the support of the community as key factors in their decision to invest. Infinity Knits expressed their commitment to producing high-quality products that benefit both the environment and local communities.
“We recently enjoyed sharing sock global to show our commitment to quality and innovation as we move forward we will produce goods with the highest standards.”
He also recommended EIPA for its efforts in organising the event and for its unwavering support of businesses in Eswatini. He said their dedication to creating a conducive business climate has played a pivotal role in attracting investment and fostering growth.
The Voice of the Church (VOC), represented by IT Specialist Mduduzi Dlamini, expressed their enthusiasm for partnering with EIPA to promote the EITF. VOC, a media house in Eswatini, said it will leverage its platforms to disseminate information about the event and encourage its listeners to attend the International Trade Fair.
Mduduzi Dlamini also, announced that VOC would be providing significant media coverage for the Eswatini International Trade Fair. This coverage includes 15 minutes prime-time interviews on Monday and Friday for six consecutive weeks on both English and Siswati channels, advertising airtime during prime time on both channels, live broadcast of the trade fair from a dedicated booth in Hall number 2 and production of adverts in both Siswati and English, which EIPA shall pay for the production.
He also highlighted that this comprehensive media coverage aims to reach a wide audience and promote the EITF to businesses and the public.
Mluleki Dlamini, the Director of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department, representing the EIPA Board Chairperson Theo Hlophe, acknowledged the invaluable support provided by the sponsors. He emphasised that this collaboration would significantly contribute to the success of the EITF and its mutual benefits.
He shared that the theme of the EITF, ‘Accelerating Business Growth Through Digital Transformation,’ served as a call to action for businesses and Government entities to embrace technology. He said in today’s digital age, technology was no longer a luxury but a necessity for growth and competitiveness.
Dlamini said this partnership is expected to create a memorable and impactful EITF event, showcasing the best of Eswatini’s businesses and fostering new opportunities for growth and development.
